Students from the hotel and catering department of the Dnipro University of Letters and Philosophy have signed contracts for internships in the restaurants of the Southern Italy. This was preceded by their serious preparation and rigorous selection. The press service of the university informs us.
Ukrainian students repeated the Italian words they’ve learned in class, memorized new ones and delighted their families with Italian dishes prepared during the masterclasses held in their university.
Especially, in mid-May, on the joint initiative of this University and the partner of the UMSF – U.C.M. Association, one of these masterclasses on the study of the foundations of traditional Italian cuisine was held.
An Italian delegation led by the president of the U.C.M, Paolo Brescia, visited the university to hold this masterclass. Inspired by the traditions of Italian cuisine, the partecipants in the masterclass prepared and presented Mediterranean dishes.
Now, imagining sunsets over the Adriatic or Ionian Sea, eleven lucky students will pack their bags for a trip in Italy.
The rector of the university, Oleg Kyrychenko, wished the trainee students success and expressed his confidence that from this September the university cafeteria menu will be stocked with Italian dishes.
The rector also warmly thanked Paolo Brescia – president of the U.C.M. Italy (“Union of Mediterranean Chefs”) Foggia – Italy for the contribution to the training of hotel and restaurants operators.
