On 10 March 2022, in compliance with the cooperation and partnership Protocol for the organization of internships and traineeship between educational institutions and the U.C.M. – Italy Association and the “Italian Products and Culinary School” Public Body (Ukraine), the first 120 students and their families have been sent to the Italian Republic, including children and babies who will be our guests. The Italian side assumes the travel, accommodation and food expenses, with medical and legal assistance, in order to stay in Italy, in compliance with the international law for all those fleeing the war.
“We do not want to stop at this first step in support of the Ukrainian people and our dear students – explains the President of the U.C.M. – Italy Paolo Brescia in a letter. As president of the U.C.M. – Italy Association, I am in Ukraine to coordinate with Olena Gerasymenko, Head of the Public Body “Italian Products and Culinary School” (Ukraine), to help students and teachers, as well as employees of the educational institution, of those in need of help.
In Italy, in order to support students, we can organize study rooms and hold Italian language lessons, integrating them with the professional classes of your educational institution.
Each student will be assisted by Italian and Ukrainian tutors in the areas where they will be hosted by our partners in the Gargano and in other areas of Italy”.
